Fall is one of the best times to experience Collingwood.
As the temperatures cool and the colours begin to change, the region comes alive with local events, live music, arts and culture, farmers’ markets and plenty of reasons to spend a weekend exploring.
From late September through October, there’s something happening almost every weekend in Collingwood and South Georgian Bay.
Whether you’re planning a spontaneous getaway or looking for a reason to return this fall, here are a few dates worth adding to your calendar.
Spend Saturday morning in historic Downtown Collingwood at the Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market.
Browse local produce, baked goods, meats and cheeses, preserves, flowers and handcrafted products from area vendors before spending a little more time exploring downtown shops and restaurants.
The market runs Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with remaining 2026 dates on September 19, September 26, October 3 and October 10.
Perfect for: A relaxed morning, couples’ weekend or fall shopping trip.
Downtown Collingwood gets a stylish start to fall with Collingwood Fashion Week, running September 21–25.
The week celebrates fashion, creativity and local businesses with fashion shows, personal styling experiences, sip-and-shop events, special promotions and in-store activations throughout downtown.
The festivities begin with the Fashion Week Gala Launch Party on Monday evening and continue throughout the week.
It’s a great excuse to plan a midweek escape, explore downtown boutiques and turn a day of shopping into a fall getaway.
Perfect for: Girls’ getaways, shopping weekends and anyone looking for something a little different to do this fall.
One of Collingwood’s signature arts events returns on Saturday, September 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Collingwood Art Crawl transforms Downtown Collingwood into a self-guided arts experience, with more than 30 host venues featuring visual artists and live musical performers.
Guests can wander downtown, discover local art, listen to live music and stop into restaurants and shops along the way.
It’s the kind of event that makes for an easy fall weekend: explore during the day, head downtown for the Art Crawl in the evening, then stay the night rather than driving home.
Perfect for: Art lovers, couples, friends and an easy weekend escape.
For live-music fans, this may be one of the most interesting weekends of the season.
The Nashville Takeover runs October 2–4, bringing more than 15 selected Nashville and Canadian songwriters to intimate venues and unexpected spaces throughout Collingwood and Blue Mountain.
The weekend features acoustic performances, rotating songwriter rounds, special performances and late-night experiences across breweries, patios and other venues.
Rather than watching one traditional concert, guests can move between venues and experience the stories behind the songs in a much more intimate setting.
Perfect for: Music lovers, couples’ weekends and groups of friends.
